The Breakthrough Parenting Program was created by Chandana Dash and Synergy Therapeutic Group. Chandana Dash has over 30 years experience working with children but what really informs her work is her experience working with her own son. After going through the endless maze of finding the right help for her son, she decided to create this program to help other parents.
Chandana Dash is a co-owner of Synergy Therapeutic Group and a graduate from the Occupational Therapy program from the National Institute for Orthopedically Handicapped in Calcutta, India. She is a pediatric occupational therapy specialist and has a wide range skill set for treating the pediatric population
Since her graduation, she has worked with children that have different types of diagnoses in all kinds of settings including early intervention , hospitals, and school systems. In the early days of her career, she found she was gifted with the ability to connect with children that have difficulties and their parents. She has continued to work with children for the past 30 years. While working at a branch of the Spastic Society of Eastern India, she worked on ground-breaking research and helped develop programs with a special emphasis on children with sensory issues.
She realized, “If I am a professional and I am struggling this much, what are other parents going through?" This is the reason she started pursuing solutions to help children as well as parents. She has gone through advanced training and developed effective treatments for children with or without a diagnosis (i.e. Autism, ADD, ADHD, SPD). She believes the child should be the main focus, however the whole family should also be involved as well as educated. That is key to success and will produce life changing results.
Now she teaches and trains parents, medical professionals, and other therapists. She treats children at Synergy clinics as well as through telehealth internationally
