Patient Success Story · Shoulder & Whole Body · Neck, Back, Legs All Improved
They not only helped me with my shoulder pain. They did a whole body therapy. Not only does my shoulder feel better but my neck, back and legs feel so much better. I have and will recommend Synergy to all my friends and family.
— Shaun Reiman
What was happening
Shaun came in for shoulder pain. By the time he left, his neck, back, and legs were also better — areas he had not specifically asked us to treat.
That is not an upsell. It is what assessment-driven care looks like when you pay attention to the whole person who walked through the door, not just the chief complaint on the intake form.
What other providers missed
Most clinics are organized around the chief complaint. A patient says shoulder, and shoulder is what gets evaluated, what gets treated, what gets billed. The protocol for shoulder is the protocol for shoulder. The rest of the body waits its turn at the next provider.
But the body does not work in chief complaints. The shoulder Shaun came in with had been compensating for things happening elsewhere — the neck above, the thoracic spine behind, the way his legs were loading the trunk below. Those things were quiet but they were not silent.
What we did differently
Our team did a whole-body assessment, then treated what we found. The neck was contributing. The thoracic spine was stiff. The legs were not sharing load with the trunk the way they should. So we treated all of it.
The shoulder got better faster because the chain was no longer fighting against it. And areas Shaun had not realized were limiting him — the neck, the back, the legs — loosened up at the same time. One assessment. One coordinated plan. One body responding.
The outcome
Shoulder pain gone. Neck better. Back better. Legs better. And a patient who recommends us to friends and family — the strongest validation a clinic can earn.
When you ask the whole body what it needs instead of just the part that hurts loudest, the answer is usually broader than the original complaint — and the response is usually deeper than expected.
