Our commitment to accessibility

Synergy Therapeutic Group is committed to making our website and the care we provide accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about their health and to the services that support their healing.

We work to conform our website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the international standard for digital accessibility. We treat this as an ongoing effort, not a one-time task.

What we have done

  • Used semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate page structure
  • Provided descriptive alternative text on images so users with visual impairments understand what each image shows
  • Ensured color contrast meets WCAG AA minimums for body text
  • Allowed page zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function (we removed restrictive viewport settings that would prevent zoom)
  • Used heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) so users navigating by headings can find sections quickly
  • Designed forms with clear labels and error messaging
  • Added captions and transcripts on videos where available

What we are still working on

Accessibility is a continuous improvement effort. We are actively working to:

  • Add closed captions to every video on our YouTube channel and on our site
  • Add transcripts for all video content
  • Improve keyboard navigation for interactive components
  • Audit older content for alt-text completeness
  • Test more frequently with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)

In-clinic accessibility

Our Carbondale clinic at 1110 N Cedar Court is wheelchair accessible with accessible parking, an accessible entrance, and accessible treatment rooms. If you need additional accommodations for your visit — including American Sign Language interpretation, large-print materials, or other supports — please let us know in advance and we will arrange them.

Requesting accommodation or reporting an accessibility issue

If you encounter a barrier on our website or need an accommodation to access our services, contact us. We will respond within two business days and work to provide the information or service in a format that works for you.

When you contact us, please describe the issue, the page where you encountered it, and the assistive technology or browser you were using. This helps us reproduce and fix the problem.

Formal complaints

If you believe Synergy Therapeutic Group has failed to provide accessible service, you may file a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights at hhs.gov/civil-rights. We hope you will contact us first so we can resolve the issue directly.
